For the electricity networks to develop their digital potential, it is ssential to ensure that data is available. Beyond the smart meter, using technical data allows to adapt the network to the demand and supply, managing energy in an efficient way and reducing losses.
As grid technology suppliers, T&D europe and ESMIG, the European association of smart meters manufacturers, IT and services providers for multi-commodity metering for consumers are hosting a session on “Free flow of energy data – empowering consumers and improving network management” at the EU Sustainable Week in Brussels on 21 June. The European Commission, electricity distributors, energy services providers and consumers associations will debate with us on how to make sure the energy data can be used to improve the network for all.
